Nonthaburi Chinese Teacher Project
With the booming economy of Thailand and China’s “One Belt, One Road” policy, the importance of Chinese language skills for Thai students has become increasingly prominent.The Chulalongkorn Academic Service Center joined hands with the Ministry of Education of Thailand to launch a project in 2005 to hire Chinese teachers to teach Chinese. It also manages and trains Chinese teachers, conducts effective teaching training at least once every semester, and regularly Chinese teachers carry out follow-up and visits on work teaching, creating a good cooperative relationship between Thai teachers and Chinese teachers.Now the Academic Service Center of Chulalongkorn University has more than 60 cooperative public primary and secondary schools and kindergartens located in Nonthaburi, a suburb of Bangkok, and has a team of more than 100 Chinese teachers.
